Software engineer & independent IT consultant building web, cloud and embedded/industrial solutions.

I run ODB-TECH, where I help organisations modernise their software, automate processes and connect systems in the real world. My work ranges from planning apps for social work and PLC process control to .NET 8 migrations and open-source projects like SE Ship Core Framework and RubberDucky-ESP32.

Who I am

I’m an enthusiastic, fast-learning software engineer with a background that combines software engineering, scalable systems and embedded/industrial projects. I enjoy turning vague problems into concrete, reliable systems — whether that’s a planning tool, a microservices backend or PLC logic that keeps an installation running safely.

How I work

I’m used to working in Agile/Scrum teams and applying structured methods like the DOT framework for research and requirement analysis. I like working end-to-end: from talking to stakeholders and operators to designing, implementing, testing and deploying the solution.

Technical focus

C# / .NET / .NET Core Blazor & web apps Azure (AKS, Service Bus, Key Vault) Docker & Kubernetes MongoDB · PostgreSQL · Azure SQL Redis · InfluxDB · Grafana Siemens Step7 / TIA Portal ESP32 & STM32 REST · MQTT · WebSockets CI/CD · GitHub · Azure DevOps

Languages

Dutch (native), English (full professional), German (elementary).

I’m comfortable translating between technical details and the daily reality of users: from social workers and operators to management and IT.

Omnis Cura – planning for social work

Planning app · Scheduling & oversight

Omnis Cura is a planning application built around the day-to-day reality of social work in the field. It gives coordinators and social workers a clear overview of who is where, when and with which client, while making last-minute changes manageable. The focus is on a calm, understandable UI rather than overwhelming users with options.

Rubber-Resources – legacy to .NET 8 Blazor

Modernisation · .NET 8 · Blazor

Conversion of a long-lived legacy solution (Visual Basic / Access-style) into a modern .NET 8 Blazor application. The new application preserves familiar workflows for staff while improving robustness, maintainability and deployment, and making future changes significantly easier.

PvG Agri – PLC for manure recycling

Industrial automation · Siemens S7

Tailored and simplified PLC logic for a manure recycling installation that separates streams into concentrated products for export and demi water for irrigation. Adapted an existing project to a new physical layout and process requirements, ensuring the automation fits the new environment.

SE Ship Core Framework

C# · Space Engineers · Server framework

A framework for Space Engineers servers that replaces traditional block-limit systems with a “ship core” model. It gives server owners fine-grained control over ship limits, performance and gameplay balance, and provides a foundation for richer server-side mechanics.

RubberDucky-ESP32

ESP32-S2 · USB HID · Firmware

Firmware for an ESP32-S2 development board with a built-in TFT display that behaves as a programmable USB keyboard. It can execute scripted payloads (for example installing software via key sequences) and provide visual feedback or animations on the display.

Let’s talk

Whether you need help integrating complex systems, modernising existing software, or building reliable backends and tooling, I’m happy to think along. My work spans C# and C++ development, embedded platforms like ESP32, industrial automation with Siemens PLCs, and larger-scale systems in Azure.

I also support organisations with improving developer workflows through automation and DevEx initiatives, such as PowerShell tooling, CI/CD improvements and environment setup streamlining.
